This is probably the best Barbera we ever tasted. Complex, rich and smooth. A must-have in a Fab Cellar.
Tasting Notes
Colour: intense ruby red.
Aroma: long, smooth with blackberries, prunes, and spices notes.
Palate: rich, full-bodied, and round with a trace of acidity which makes it fragrant and refreshing.
Pairing: important roasts, game, strong mature and extra-mature cheeses.
Serving Temperature: 18/20°C.
Appellation: Piemontese D.O.C. dry red wine.
Grape variety: barbera.
Soil type: hilly with a southeast exposure, at an altitude of 250 meters; limestone and sand
Harvest time: third week of September.
Winemaking: soft pressed and stainless steel fermented with maceration of 8/10 days.
Ageing: barriques for 20 months.
